own3D solves the biggest problem in eSports broadcasting

As of January 11th we have started using own3D as our main live streaming CDN (content delivery network).

While officially still in beta own3D has already proven a better partner for us and many other video game related streaming organizations. In the past we’ve had many problems with the networks of both Justin.tv and USTREAM. For both these parties their European servers seemed an afterthought and when we were trying to provide a quality stream at our peak hours they were barely awake to deal with network problems. own3D however is located in Austria, and in the few weeks we have been depending on them we have received far greater support than in all of 2 years with Justin.tv and USTREAM combined.

But that’s not all. own3D is currently the first and only live streaming CDN that allows partnered broadcasters like us the ability to broadcast with a configurable delay. This means we can now broadcast even the most important matches with a lot of money on the line, without having to worry about players ghosting via our stream!

This combination of a superior European network, support that cares and a long awaited anti-cheat solution made us switch in the very first hour. We hope you’ll like our streams even better on the own3D network and if you have any comments regarding this change please feel free to send them our way via IRC or email.
